About the Printer
The mobile label printer is a premium rugged printer designed to withstand many drops to concrete so it can work for many years reliably. Its battery is rated for a full work day before recharging. Printing labels is just a matter of loading labels, connect a USB communication cable between the scanner and printer, and opening the MSS Software app to choose the Print function.

The mobile label printer produces a standard 3”wide x 1” size label which commonly used across all VA Medical Centers.

It is common that you need to go to another building with a stationary printer to get the new label which takes time or sometimes days if you are at a CBOC. The mobile label printer solves this problem by printing the label on demand so you can complete your inventory without taking extra steps.
NX labels are available from MSS Software for use with the portable printer.
The printer requires the user to have KWedge 8 installed on his/her PC workstation. KWedge 8 has a function called USB Communicator which is used to import databases to the scanner which enables the printer function.
